Meet your fellow travelers during lunch before boarding BC Ferries in Tsawwassen for the afternoon sailing to the Island and BC’s capital city of Victoria. Arriving at the Chateau Victoria we invite you to enjoy the evening at your leisure. (L)
Begin the day with a visit to Butchart Gardens – one of the world’s premier floral show gardens. You will have plenty of time to explore the many gardens in this 50 acre show ground of spectacular colors and artistries, browse the gift shop and enjoy a complimentary lunch. Driving the spectacular Malahat Pass we travel from the Capital City to the “end of the road” township of Tofino. Stopping in the small community of Coombs we will explore the Old Country Market where the goats have been roaming the roof for over 30 years. Stroll through Cathedral Grove in MacMillan Provincial Park which is one of the most accessible stands of giant Douglas fir trees on Vancouver Island. Arrive in Tofino for our two night stay at the Best Western Tin Wis Resort, where every room offers an ocean view. Tonight, we invite you to join your fellow travellers to a group dinner. (B, D)
Today is all about wildlife and we are guaranteed to see some. Jamie’s Whaling offers two tours*. From the comforts of a Panoramic View Cruiser you will search the Clayoquot Sound for black bear and other wildlife. You may want to board a large cruise in search of Humpback, Orca and Gray whales. There are 200 “resident” Gray whales that feed in these waters from April through November. Arriving back on shore you have the opportunity to explore the village of Tofino at your leisure. Enjoy a free evening.

Today we travel to the seaside community of Chemainus, known world-wide for its famous murals. With 42 larger-than-life historic paintings we will have front row seats as we take a horse drawn trolley tour around this beautiful open air gallery. This evening we are off to dinner and the theatre. This vibrant and fully professional theatre features some of the finest performers and performances in Canada. Dust off your leather jacket, pull on your bobby-socks, and bop back in time as Danny and Sandy fall in love in this production of Grease. This fun Broadway musical features all the comedy, drama, and unforgettable songs that have made it one of the most popular musicals in the world. Our evening will be spent at the Best Western Plus Chemainus Inn. (D)
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, then ferry back across to the mainland. Bidding farewell to your travelling companions, continue over the Coquihalla arriving home this evening. (B)
