Experience the magic and wonder of the magnificent Jasper Park Lodge at this extraordinary Christmas themed event, a tradition for the past 27 years. Indulge in the rustic elegance of the iconic Canadian lodge while participating in activities that make the holidays come alive: cooking, crafting, decorating and dining.
Depart north along the Yellowhead Highway admiring the last vestiges of fall colours. Enter the Rocky Mountains, admiring lofty Mount Robson along the way, then arrive at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, Canada’s signature luxury lodge situated on over 700 acres of serene mountain wilderness and the shores of Lac Beauvert. For over 100 years, the Lodge has been attracting discriminating travelers from around the world, and through the year, special discounted events are planned specifically to attract Canadian travelers to experience her warmth and majesty. The property features a combination of rooms at the lodge and cedar chalets and cabins connected by paths. Lodge rooms are limited to the most mobility challenged guests, but staff are always on hand to provide a quick golf cart ride to the main lodge for meals and activities. Tonight starts with a party – a themed welcome reception, where you can mix and mingle with fellow guests. Last year was a Crazy Christmas Sweater party! (L, WR, D)
The next two days are filled with a variety of talented presenters, decadent meals, themed activities and special sessions to attend. Celebrate all the things the holidays should be: great food, wine, entertainment and seasonal inspiration through fun and interactive classes. Cook with celebrity chefs; learn the art of Christmas crafts and holiday decorating with industry experts; take home tips from a mixology class and sample wines from around the world. Detailed schedule will be available closer to the event, then you can register for your favourite seminars with your favourite personalities. Our coach will also be providing transfers into Jasper to browse the shops and attractions, and to natural wonders of the area like Maligne Canyon and Athabasca Falls (weather pending). It may even be cold enough for a skate on the lake or a ski through the woods. There are not many times in the year that this kind of luxury is affordable – take full advantage. (B, L, D)
After a delicious breakfast, say a reluctant farewell to the Jasper Park Lodge, saying “See you next year!” We retrace our steps back home. (B,BL)
