The excitement builds as we transfer to Vancouver for our pre-night at the Fairmont Vancouver Airport Hotel before boarding the morning flight tomorrow to Nashville.

September 21, 2018 - Vancouver to Nashville, Tennessee

Travelling American Airlines, we transfer through Dallas –Fort Worth enroute to Nashville, Tennessee, arriving in the Music City late this afternoon where we are joined by our local guide who will be with us for the next week. Unpack for your two-night stay at the extraordinary Gaylord Opryland Resort offering you lush atrium gardens, poolside fun, live music and entertainment and more.  Tonight we gather for a group dinner at a nearby restaurant. September 22, 2018 - Nashville

Nashville is home to country music, delicious Southern cooking, and great hospitality. These three traditions come together in this quintessential Music City experience. Embark on a city sightseeing tour complete with singing tour guides with stops including the Country Music Hall of Fame where you will follow the story of country music, past to present through the Museum’s exhibits and programs and the famed Music Row.  This evening we are off to the GRAND OLE OPRY for an unforgettable evening of uniquely American entertainment. For more than 85 years, country’s best have mesmerized audiences at the Opry, the show that made country music famous. (B)

September 23, 2018 - Nashville to Memphis, Tennessee

Following breakfast at the hotel, we depart for Memphis, TN, home of the blues and the birthplace of Rock ‘n Roll. After a stop at Outdoor World for some free time we are given a tour of Sun Records Recording Studio, the most famous recording studio in the world. Born to capture the pure ray energy of Beale Street, Sun Records opened its doors in 1952 and launched careers of such greats as Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Conway Twitty and many more. Checking into the Holiday Inn Select which is located in the heart of downtown Memphis we gather together for a group dinner at a nearby restaurant. (B, D)

September 24, 2018 - Memphis

There is nothing like waking up in Memphis, where its reputation for good food and even better music won’t disappoint. We start the day with a city sightseeing tour which will include the number 1 ranked facility specializing in pediatric care, St. Jude’s and the Memphis Pyramid.  We then take an unforgettable journey through the most famous rock ‘n’ roll residence in the world:  Graceland. Tennessee was the rock-and-roll legend’s home for more than 20 years and at Graceland you can explore the personal side of Elvis Presley. Here we will learn how his revolutionary style and unique sound changed the face of popular music and culture forever. Tonight we invite you to venture out to world-famous Beale Street for dinner. This entertainment district is a melting pot of delta blues, jazz, rock n’ roll, R & B and gospel. (B)

September 25, 2018 - Memphis to Natchez, Mississippi

Blues is one of the few music genres considered to be wholly American and its roots are firmly planted in the rich soil of the Mississippi Delta.  Here is where legendary musician, B.B. King came of age.  The B.B. King Museum celebrates the 60+ year career beginning with his humble time as a sharecropper all the way to the international star he became. Arrive into Natchez this evening which is considered one of the South’s most charming cities.  Our overnight stay is at the Magnolia Bluffs Casino & Hotel.  Tonight we dine as a group at a local restaurant. September 26, 2018 - Natchez to New Orleans, Louisiana

A local guide joins us today for a sightseeing tour of Natchez including the impressive Stanton Hall.  Built in 1858, this impressive Antebellum home takes up an entire city block and offers a glimpse into the domestic life of a wealthy Natchez family.  Arrive into New Orleans this afternoon.  With a combination of rich history and culture, the birthplace of jazz is the perfect destination.  A special treat is in store for this evening’s meal as we roll up our sleeves and immerse ourselves in the ‘fun, food & folklore’ of a Cajun experience at the New Orleans School of Cooking (or similar). Our next two evenings is spent at the Sheraton Four Points Hotel. (B,D)


September 27, 2018 - New Orleans

A visit to New Orleans is not complete without a meal at the Court of Two Sisters where you will enjoy a delicious brunch while listening to a live jazz band. A local guide will introduce us to the sights and sounds of ‘The Big Easy’ including such highlights as the French Quarter, St. Louis Cemetery where you will learn about the unique above-ground burial system the city has in place, St. Charles Street and Jackson Square.  Enter into another world with a behind-the-scenes tour of Mardi Gras World where the design and construction of the floats takes place for the annual event.  Following dinner on your own, we end the evening experiencing one of North America’s oldest and most celebrated musical genres,  – jazz at Bourbon Street’s oldest jazz club, Maison Bourbon. September 28, 2018 - New Orleans to Vancouver, BC

Experience the thrill of a swamp tour that includes cruising along the mysterious, moss-draped bayous in search of alligators before we depart to the airport for our late afternoon flight back to Vancouver.  The final night of the tour is spent at the Fairmont Vancouver Airport Hotel.  (B)

September 29, 2018 - Vancouver to Kamloops/Okanagan
